Meditation on Psalm 119:65-72 Teth
Psa 119:65 Teth. You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word.
Psa 119:66 Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments.
Psa 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.
Psa 119:68 You are good and do good; Teach me Your statutes.
Psa 119:69 The arrogant have forged a lie against me; With all my heart I will observe Your precepts.
Psa 119:70 Their heart is covered with fat, But I delight in Your law.
Psa 119:71 It is good for me that I was afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.
Psa 119:72 The law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
Great Redeeming Creator, God of Abraham, help me to see that YOU have dealt with me in great compassion, mercy, kindness, and grace. Allow me to see YOU have kept every promise and principle of YOUR WORD to me. You are trustworthy.
Teach me to be able to see reality for what it is. Take from me delusions. Show me the naked facts of what actually is the condition of my life. Help me to believe YOUR revelation as the ultimate TRUTH.
YOU have had mercy on me and afflicted me with YOUR chastising love and now I am better equipped to guard YOUR WORD in my daily life.
Even when abused I will live by YOUR truth. Lord give me grace to do this.
Help my heart be sensitive to YOU even when others are hard towards YOUR love and ways.
I am glad that I have suffered, for in that pain there was gain and I have grown in my understanding of YOU.
Help me value YOUR revelation to me as more valuable than money, possession, power, and status.
Lord grant me the ability to see reality and adapt to reality. Amen
