Meditation on 1 Peter 3:14

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. 'Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened'" (1 Peter 3:14).

1st Reading: What is one word or phrase the Holy Spirit impresses on you? Meditate on that.

2nd Reading: Enter into the Scripture passage. What do you feel? What specific situation in your life today relates? Write down a prayer or pray quietly.

3rd Reading: What is God's personal invitation for you from the Scripture? You can write down what God may be saying to you or a prayer of thanks. Or rest quietly in God.

Do not fear!

Great, good, and merciful Father in heaven, it is hard for me not to fear. My fear gets in the way of me doing the right things. My fear robs sleep from me. I control so little. Really only myself. Even that seem hard and is only possible with YOUR SPIRIT. Help me live in faith in YOUR care and purpose for my life and not be frightened of all that could happen. Allow YOUR peace to guard me. Amen

3rd Reading: What is God's personal invitation for you from the Scripture? You can write down what God may be saying to you or a prayer of thanks. Or rest quietly in God.

Fear not!
