Lent Day 18

Lent Day 18

"'For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world…' Jesus declared, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry'" (John 6:33, 35a).

1st Reading: What is one word or phrase the Holy Spirit impresses on you? Meditate on that.

2nd Reading: Enter into the Scripture passage. What do you feel? What specific situation in your life today relates? Write down a prayer or pray quietly.

3rd Reading: What is God's personal invitation for you from the Scripture? You can write down what God may be saying to you or a prayer of thanks. Or rest quietly in God.

My reflections

1st Reading: What is one word or phrase the Holy Spirit impresses on you? Meditate on that.

Gives life

2nd Reading: Enter into the Scripture passage. What do you feel? What specific situation in your life today relates? Write down a prayer or pray quietly.

Great Messiah Lord Jesus, thank you for leaving heaven and coming to earth to give me life. I was dead but YOU have made me alive by your sacrifice upon the cross and resurrection from the dead. YOU are the “manna” from heaven. YOU are my “manna” the gift of God to give me life. Let me see YOU more clearly that I may love YOU more dearly this day. Amen

3rd Reading: What is God's personal invitation for you from the Scripture? You can write down what God may be saying to you or a prayer of thanks. Or rest quietly in God.

I am your life outside of me is only death.
